Wow! Same great playability I found when testing this at Stanford. As a math teacher, I wish I could assign this to my students as homework! What a superb way to build number sense.

My kid loves it, I wish I had something like this when I was in school!
This has to be one of the most fun ways to learn about fractions ever invented. Kind of like a high-speed Tetris that hinges on your understanding of some basic mathematical concepts. Kids will love it. But dont get the wrong impression, parents: its actually not all that easy to recognize and sort the various numbers as they fall down the screen. A delightful combination of tactile and mental stimulation.
The ePod Club students love this game. After we all played it last night, I asked them if they had anything they wanted to put in a review. Here is what we wrote in our club meeting: From the 3rd grade student members of the ePod Club Kevin: “Awesome” Georgia: “We like it its very complicated. It is a good game.” Pablo: “Someone got to level 21!” Chris: “The game is amazing. Holy cow.” Gracie: “You have the best game ever!” Kevin: “Funnicially hard.” (yes he made up that word to describe this game). This game is awesome. The kids love it and don’t realize its helping them practice one of the most vexing subjects in elementary math – fractions. I can’t wait for your next app. -David Vinca
Excellent app, with a really amazing way of teaching kids about fractions. My little boys are a bit too small to get it yet, but I look forward to them starting to use this app soon.
This is an amazing way to learn fractions. It is completely intuitive and well designed for learning. It also take full advantage of the iPhone and iPad. The best 99cents you can spend to learn fractions. Very visual and good use of sounds - I liked all the levels that kept children engaged. Buy it if you want to teach or learn fractions.
Motion Math is Doodle Jump meets learning. Its easy to learn but addictive and a great way to teach fractions. My 7-year-old who struggles with fractions likes to play this as much as her other non-educational games and it had an immediate affect on her math tests. Other educational app developers should took note and make there titles this fun. Game developers should take note and find ways to incorporate learning into their games so they can do a service to children in addition to entertaining them.
This is a good way to sharpen the old mind.... Even better for school kids to drill with!
Was expecting something more. Cant access levels. Basically its just a ball you have to get to bounce in the appropriate faction area. Thats about it. I think I meant to download rocket math because it has many different types of math. My 7 year old isnt too fond of math so Im trying to make her have fun with it. This app doesnt even hold my attention much less hers.
I use this app with my 4th and 5th grade students on my classroom iPod Touches. They keep asking to play this game and love beating their score from previous weeks. Besides giving good fractional number sense and using number lines, when a student gets something wrong, it scaffolds and gives them more clues to get it right the next time. In that sense its a mini-teacher. Only complaint is that since we share the iPods, they wish there was some type of log-in or way to save their progress from previous times. It would build better off of what they know, rather than start again from the beginning. Also, kids that have gone through many levels are looking for the next challenge. Otherwise, all great things to say about this app! Its addicting! :)
Thanks for the update! I have really enjoyed playing this game, along with my 8-year old daughter and 6-year old son. It is fun and educational, and believe me, we have tried so hard to find games that are both. Fantastic innovative use of the tilt function, look forward to seeing more games that are fun and dont just waste neurons...
As a 4th grade teacher, this is the best math app Ive found. My students race to finish their work so they can play it. It teaches the relationship between fractions, decimals, and percents using a number line. Perfect! More like this, please!
Ive tried many math apps, games, and programs for my kids. Motion Math is the only game that my kids would prefer to play over a "real game". And they seem to actually be learning from it too. The combination of those two wins makes this the best math app out there.
The only thing that would make this game great is a pause button and volume control because its a lasts so loud. I will give five stars when those two things come out.
Love this app. Great for teaching fraction and decimal equivalents. Highly recommend.
Its great for estimating fraction. Good review for middle schoolers. Id really like to see an update to the graphics that make kids want to play this. The format of traveling to different levels and having the dropping fraction be related to that levels theme is good. I know a lot of my students would benefit from this game but they wont play it because of the graphics. PLEASE UPDATE! You created an awesome game!
Considering im only aloud to play educational games now its the best!!!! you go to different levels and calculate the right fraction in the right area its all a 6 grader really needs id give it 10 stars if i could!!!
Cant wait to see what this team does in the future.
This app is...quite good!
Very good and intuitive fun for children to learn!
